Red wine | Mendoza, Argentina
Enrique Foster Bonarda is a testament to the combination of the winery's best grapes, originating from selected vines, crafted by gravity and driven by the passion for excellence at Bodega Foster. This Bonarda showcases the expertise of Mauricio Lorca, the winemaker. The grapes are meticulously selected from quarter 18 of the winery's Finca Los Altepes, located in Los Árboles, Valle de Uco, Mendoza. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation at 26°C and maceration for 25 days. It is then aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months, followed by 12 months in the bottle. This meticulous process gives the wine finesse and complexity. The wine has a deep red color and a complex aroma where red fruits like plums, raspberries, gooseberries, and currants intertwine, resulting in a harmonious and pleasing experience. This Bonarda showcases a good structure and pleasant tannins, with a long persistence on the palate. This wine is a perfect companion for red meats and dishes with creamy sauces and cheeses. It is also an excellent match for chocolate and ice cream. Serve between 16°C and 18°C. Bodega Enrique Foster is known for its commitment to quality and innovation, crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of Mendoza. This Bonarda is no exception, offering a delightful expression of the Bonarda grape with its characteristic fruitiness and smooth tannins. Enjoy it with grilled steak, pasta with tomato-based sauces, or aged cheeses. Its versatility makes it a fantastic choice for both casual gatherings and special occasions.
