Indulge in the captivating allure of Maxale's Passimento Primitivo Vino dei Fondatori, a testament to the rich winemaking heritage of Puglia, Italy. This exquisite red wine, crafted from carefully selected Primitivo grapes, embodies the passion and dedication that define the Maxale winery. The 'Passimento' in its name refers to the 'appassimento' winemaking technique, where grapes are partially dried before fermentation, concentrating their flavors and resulting in a wine of exceptional depth and complexity.
As you pour a glass of this mesmerizing elixir, you'll be greeted by an enticing bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as black cherries and plums, intertwined with subtle hints of spice, chocolate, and dried herbs. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, contributing to a smooth and harmonious finish that lingers long after each sip.
Maxale's Passimento Primitivo is a versatile companion to a wide array of culinary delights. Its robust structure and rich flavors make it an ideal partner for grilled meats, such as succulent lamb chops or a perfectly seared steak. It also pairs beautifully with hearty pasta dishes, such as lasagna or tagliatelle with a rich ragu sauce. For cheese lovers, this wine complements aged cheeses like Parmesan or Pecorino, enhancing their savory notes.

Not my usual light red, but this Primitivo is DELICIOUS! Rich dark fruit, chocolate notes... Surprisingly smooth. Great with pasta. Excellent value.
