Description

Indulge in the captivating allure of Rocca Felice Barolo, a wine that embodies the rich heritage and unparalleled terroir of the Barolo region in Piedmont, Italy. Crafted with meticulous care by the esteemed Famiglia Bansavoliis, this 2016 vintage is a testament to the family's unwavering commitment to excellence. Prepare your senses for a symphony of flavors that dance across your palate. The wine opens with enticing aromas of dried cherries, plums, and a hint of rose petals, gracefully unfolding into layers of complexity. As you savor each sip, notes of leather, tobacco, and earthy undertones emerge, adding depth and intrigue to the experience. The well-structured tannins provide a firm backbone, while the vibrant acidity ensures a long, satisfying finish. Rocca Felice Barolo is the perfect companion for a variety of culinary delights. Its robust character pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses. Imagine enjoying it alongside a succulent rack of lamb, a rich truffle risotto, or a creamy gorgonzola. The wine's elegance also makes it a superb choice for special occasions or simply as a thoughtful gift for the discerning wine lover in your life. This Barolo, with a 91-point rating from James Suckling, is not just a wine; it's an experience. Open the bottle about 30 minutes before you plan to drink the wine, and serve this masterpiece at 18 °C.

Your Notes

Not bad! Typical Barolo, though a bit heavy on the tannins for my taste. I get the cherry notes, but needs more plum. Decent structure. Good, but not amazing.
