Villa Folini winery, nestled in the heart of the Collio region, has a rich history of crafting exceptional wines. The region itself is celebrated for its unique terroir, which imparts distinct characteristics to the wines produced there. The winery combines traditional methods with modern techniques to create wines that are both authentic and innovative. The estate is in San Lorenzo Isontino, a small town of Roman origin in the heart of the DOC Collio area. The estate is named after the Folini family, who has lived in the area for centuries. In fact, the estate is located on a part of the land that, according to historical documents, was the seat of a castrum (small fortified camp) inhabited by the Folini family in Roman times. The family still owns the land, where they have always cultivated vines and made wine.
